ROOF REPAIR · NC · VA · MD
Not every roof problem needs a full tear-off. A leaking pipe boot, a few shingles blown off, a section of failed flashing — these are normal repairs. We diagnose first and fix exactly what needs fixing. If a $400 repair is the right answer, that's what we'll quote. Lifetime workmanship warranty on all work. Free inspection in NC, VA, and MD.
WHAT WE REPAIR
These are the repairs that come up again and again. Each one has a right way and a quick-fix way. We do the right way — address the cause, not just the symptom.
Water in the attic traces to the entry point, not where it drips. We trace it back to the actual source — a seam, a failed boot, a crack in the flashing — before touching anything.
Step flashing at chimneys, walls, and dormers. Drip edge at eaves and rakes. Counter-flashing. These are the most common entry points for water on an otherwise healthy roof.
The row of shingles at the roof peak takes the most UV and wind exposure. Missing or cracked ridge cap shingles are an easy entry point for water and wind uplift.
The rubber collar that seals the gap around plumbing vents degrades in UV over 10–15 years. A cracked boot is one of the most common sources of an attic leak — and one of the cheapest repairs.
A few shingles blown off by wind or cracked by impact don't necessarily mean a full replacement. We source matching shingles where available and install them correctly.
The soffit (underside of the overhang) and fascia (edge board where gutters mount) rot when water gets behind the gutter. We repair or replace damaged sections and address the water source.
Poor attic ventilation shortens shingle life from below. We assess ventilation during every inspection and can add ridge vents or soffit vents as part of a repair visit.
REPAIR VS. REPLACE
The decision comes down to three things: the age of the roof, the condition of the decking (the structural plywood underneath), and the scope of the damage. We give you a straight answer after we've been on the roof.
