1. 01

   Inspection and scope

   We inspect the existing roof, document the condition, and write the scope of work. If there's an insurance claim involved, this is the Xactimate-format estimate. If it's a cash job, this is the quote.

2. 02

   Material delivery

   Materials are delivered the day before the install. We coordinate with you on delivery timing and dumpster placement to minimize impact on your driveway and yard.

3. 03

   Tear-off

   All existing roofing material removed to the deck. Ice-and-water shield, felt paper, and flashing removed. Deck inspected in full.

4. 04

   Deck repair (if needed)

   Any rotted, soft, or damaged decking sections replaced. We document what we find and, on insurance jobs, supplement for deck repair if it wasn't in the original scope.

5. 05

   Ice-and-water shield and underlayment

   Ice-and-water shield at eaves and valleys per NC code. Synthetic underlayment over the rest of the deck. Drip edge at eaves and rakes.

6. 06

   Shingle installation

   Starter strips, field shingles, and ridge cap installed to manufacturer specification. Flashing at every penetration — pipe boots, step flashing at walls and chimneys, valley flashing.

7. 07

   Cleanup and final walk

   All tear-off material removed. Magnets run through the yard and driveway for fasteners. Final walkthrough with you. Inspection photos of the completed install.
